The Principle

3D-SpaceCurl – a passive cardanic-suspension that allows a person standing in the inner ring, by shifting weight to actively move around all physical and spatial axes and assume, within a definable stability cone, any position in space

Three precisely balanced rings made of steel segments with high-load bearings that enable the inner ring to move freely in all directions in space, provide the basic system.

A height-adjustable platform in the inner ring allows a person in an upright posture to move the rings on all planes of space and around all body-axes by shifting weight only and take any position in space – without getting in danger to fall out of the device or compromise themselves otherwise.

Solid foot fixation and a pelvic fixation with a dorsal/anterior adjustable application. This special design allows the use of the device over the full range of motion with unsupported upper body and without the use of hands.

The device is only accelerated, guided, controlled and also stopped again by the person standing on the platform. The height-adjustment of the platform enables a dosage of stability.

In a completely physiological posture and with movement ranges corresponding with the usual muscle work required for posture correction, physical loads are generated, causing coordinative and muscular adaptions as well on untrained as on well-trained users.

The Chinese philosopher Confucius (approx. 551 to 479 BC ) analysed the work of human musculature and formed the thesis: “Standing and walking is a permanently supported fall”. To avoid the “fall” our muscles work permanently automatically on the basis of learned posture- and motion patterns against the “fall” and in the sense of a physiological posture and motion
